Wheatish, dark, brown, dusky,
Fair, very fair, pretty, beautiful.
These words should not be
any human being’s definition.

Stout, fat, thin, average, bulky,
is not for us to judge each other.
It is about who we are,
how God made us.

But society conditions and defines,
and measures us on every parameter:
Educated, not educated, rich, poor,
what you have, what you don’t have.

The way you look, the way you are,
being judged at every step,
saps you of energy and confidence,
and affects your self-esteem.

How I wish for a society,
that accepts people as they are,
no passing judgments or comments,
even if one is not looking their best.

“Faultfinders usually are not content with their own situations in life and therefore try to make others miserable by judging them.” ― Greg Gordon
