Help, But Be Selfless

Don’t Expect Anything In Return

Being of help to anybody in need, but being selfless, has been the most precious value/habit I have imbibed from my parents — I continue to do that.

Some childhood experiences also mold us into the people we grow up to be. I remember the time when our family was not financially well off. Yet, somehow, my parents were patient through all that and never complained about their situation. There were times when they would be wondering about the next meal for all of us, and then, in a few hours, help would come in, in some form. Either friends or a stranger would walk in and help out.

Today, when I help somebody, it is such a nice feeling — can’t be expressed in words. I don’t want anything in return. Not even a mention for the help!
