Elegance and Humility
Sometimes, I like it when people love my dressing sense, ask me where I buy dresses from — usual questions. I’m not into brands, but whatever I choose, I ensure that’s good — ethnic types. People love them anyhow!
While I like these comments, I will never forget the time when someone made fun of the same dressing sense (cotton, ethnic, full sleeves) and another reminded me that I repeat dresses (we all repeat). It was in a group, and I can’t explain those difficult moments in a few words.
With my father retiring from govt. service, my siblings still studying, and I trying to support my parents, I didn’t want to waste money needlessly. I wore whatever dresses I had.
Not a good one, but this experience reinforced my belief in being humble, which I’ll always be.
