Two tall strong trees bear
the weight of a soft swaying
hammock in their shades.
A pleasant and cool
breeze allows it to reflect,
relax for a while.
The sun is melting
and fading on the golden
sphere — to rise again.
We bear the weight of life’s challenges, swaying…

Waiting is the most difficult
thing to do…
We wait for a lifetime
for so many things, and are
sometimes patient and sometimes impatient,
sometimes hopeful and sometimes hopeless.
…yet, we wait in all anticipation.
The most beautiful of it all is waiting for…

Amongst the wicked weeds
and the soft blades of grass,
stands courageously,
a lone red flower.
Some time back,
it would get affected
by a mere prick of a dry hay.
Now, it is unaffected by the
chafing summers
and twilit winters.
Even the exuberant rains
and evanescent spring
don’t delight it…
